Printed Circuit Board
Printed circuit board is used in all but the simplest electronic product. Point-to-point and wire-wrap construction are alternatives to PCBs. PCBs need the additional design work to lay out the circuit but manufacturing and assembly can be automated such as SMT or DIP. Manufacturing circuits with PCBs is cheaper and faster than with other wiring methods as parts are welded and mounted with one single component. Furthermore, operator wiring errors are eliminated and NG rate are very low.
